The Idaho Panhandle Film Festival (Ipan) began four years ago in Wallace Idaho. The brainchild of Nancy Hanks, the vision was to grow the film industry in the Idaho panhandle; this was done by giving students and resident professionals a venue to interact.
After three consecutive years of success, and Hanks temporarily bestowed management of the event to Philippe Valle and Benjamin Lee, who continue to bring about the mission she originally envisioned.
In previous years, Ipan has taken place on a single day, in one location. This year, the festival has expanded to two days, with additional locations. It will take place on the 13th and 14th of April, in both Coeur d'Alene and Wallace Idaho, thanks to North Idaho College and the Wallace Rotary.
The first day's events will be on NIC campus, in the Molestead Library Auditorium. The following day will exclusively take place in Wallace, at both the Sixth Street Melodrama and the Historic Jameson Restaurant.
The public is invited to attend; admission is free, but seating is limited.
